History of College
The “Indian Muslim Educational Trust” has promoted K.P.National College of Arts and Science with a mission of providing quality education in the rural area of Tamilnadu. The College is approved by Govt.of Tamilnadu and affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University.
The Community which remains backward educationally and economically, the Time has come that the We should take upon itself the entire responsibility for the education of its youth at all level. Let us remember that there is no greater charity than what is given away for the educations. As needless to say, that education alone can make man more and more civilized and cultured.
What is Education?
“Education is not only learning from books, memorizing some facts, but also learning how to look, How to listen –what the books are saying”. The aim of Education is not only to enable oneself to learn. but also to lead the life.
Education to be complete, must be humane, it must include not only the training of the intellect but also the refinement of heart and discipline of the spirit
Education is a companion which no misfortune can depress – no crime destroy no enemy alienate – no disposition enslave. At home-a friend, in solitude-a solace, and in society-an ornament, without it what is man?- a splendid slave, a reasoning savage.
Acquired Knowledge it enable the possessor to distinguish the right from the wrong. It lights the way to Heaven, it is Our companion when we are friendless, it guides us to happiness, it sustains us in adversity, it is a weapon against enemies and an ornament among friends.“Learning is light from God almighty. As light dispels darkness, so does learning dispels ignorance. If only each one of us who has been chosen to receive this Light from God, understood how to use it, how much brighter would our journey through Life be!
What do we seek for in Life? Power, wealth fame, knowledge? Perhaps power, perhaps wealth, perhaps fame, but most certainly knowledge, because without knowledge man is little better than a beast. It is knowledge that enriches life, knowledge that has brought man to this stage in the evolutionary cycle, where man consider himself to be the crown of creation.
Having all this in mind the above trust members have decided to start an Arts and Science College at Batlagundu, which will definitely proliferate the knowledge both academically and morally.The college authorities, believes that applied knowledge and acquiring Skills is essential, hence it offers job – oriented courses that are in demand in the job market. The College believes that education is much more, than providing a degree. The College wants to provide the students with ample opportunity to actualize themselves and to develop their talents by setting Vigorous academic standards and giving students the support they need to meet those standards.
This College enables them to discover their own capabilities in this unique environment. The Students of K.P.National College of Arts and Science become agile resilient, responsible, and creative, prepared to lead and serve their society. Education at K.P.National College Prepares Students for an unpredictable future, not by training them for particular careers but by teaching them how to learn. Our object, is not to teach that which is peculiar to any one of the professions, but to lay the foundation which is common to them all.

The college maintains high Standards of the Excellence in the academic sphere and in the physical amenities and facilities intended to implement the educational program .
In addition to the academic curriculum which is expected to provide a broad foundation of general education and a reasonable amount of specialization. A diversified programme of campus activities-social, recreational, cultural supplements and complements the academic study and provides facilities and opportunities for the development of individual talents, personal relationship and creative group life with high moral standards. Endowers to maintain a program that will develop people of integrity, high character culture, who are fully capable of making enlightened choice and intelligent judgment, in a social order, which is dynamic and which requires the best from every man and women.
KPN college is co-educational and it offers, interalia Courses on Computer Application, Management, Commerce and Science. The cherished objective of the institution is to equip Young men & women students with knowledge in respective job oriented subjects, good character and true sense of human values. In addition to imparting education with ability to face the challenges and requirements of life, this institutions endeavors to conserve the rich tradition and culture of this great country, by imbibing them on a sound sense of respect for our heritage.
The college functions on self-financing basis. No grant is obtained from the government or any funding agency to meet capital expenditure or day–to–day expenses. It sustains itself on the self generated funds for its establishment and development.
The college is managed by IMET trust under the minority act. The governing body consist of eminent person from different walks of life, who are devoted and highly dedicated to the association, continues to be the guiding supermom and the moving spirit behind this Educational Trust.
