According to Winston Churchill “English Literature is a glorious inheritance which open to all. There are no barriers, no coupons and no restrictions. In the English Language and in its great writers there are great riches and treasures, of which, of course Shakespeare and Wordsworth stand along on the highest platform.”

English plays a vital role in Communication. Nowadays English has become an important measurement in interview. To get a job in the medium and large scale companies, job aspirant must have a good command in English. English is one of the major languages spoken in the world.

Department of English was established in 2009. It is offering a degree course B.A English literature with an intake of 60 students. Bachelor of Arts in English offers literature, grammar and composition to the students. It disseminates the potential information about myths of Literature. The department also offering Master of English in Literature with an intake of 36 students. It has set up Research facilities on account of offering a Research program M.Phil. The department has been keeping numerous books for the students benefit.

It has been conducting students development program in regular interval.
